TESOL Advocacy Updates

ConnTESOL was chosen as one of the state affiliates to participate in the 2013 TESOL Advocacy and Policy Summit in June. The focus of this year’s advocacy effort was the reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) and the Workforce Investment Act (WIA). Representatives Courtney and DeLauro are actively seeking feedback from Connecticut’s ESL professionals regarding the Harkin Bill. Please review the summary of the bill here and email your feedback to the ConnTESOL Advocacy Rep, Christie Ward, at [email protected].
