 The Journal welcomes proposals for special topics that are both timely and relevant to our readership. 

The topics can be drawn from research and practice across the educational contexts (PK16).

Registration now open — Columbia University’s American Language Program (ALP) Winter Conference.

We are pleased to announce that registration is now open for Columbia University’s American Language Program (ALP) Winter Conference. To register please visit our Eventbrite page.

The theme for this year’s conference is Vocabulary Learning / Vocabulary Teaching. The conference will be held at Columbia University’s Faculty House on Saturday, February 24, 2018, from 9:30 AM to 6 PM. The conference, a professional development event for practicing TESOL educators, researchers, and graduate and doctoral students, will begin with a plenary address by ALP Senior Lecturer, Dr. Frances Boyd, co-editor of NorthStar, a 10-volume academic English Language series. Following the plenary there will be concurrent sessions. A free continental breakfast and buffet lunch will be served.  The day will conclude with a happy hour/networking opportunity.

We are still accepting proposals. Proposals must be received by January 16, 2018. Please use the following Google form to submit a proposal.
